Beautiful Oregon Coast

I guess I am calling myself lucky, to live near this wonderful place. It is about 1 1/2 hours drive from Portland, Oregon. Haven't been that much to the coast this year, but we went on a little trip just the other week and it was beautiful as always.

If you look very close on the picture with the sandbar sticking out, you will see all the sea lions sunning themselves. Hmmmmm! What a life!

Round Robin!

A few of our doll club members participated in our round robin doll a few months ago,here are a few results. Each doll was unique and different.

One of the girls created a Steam Punk Doll, she is just wonderful.

Her skirt was made out of paper.

He has a name.......

I am finally done with the little bear I made the other day, I gave him a brown bow matching his nose and his name is Sebastian. He is so cute.
I love working with Alpaca, this is the softest mohair I have ever worked with. It is not cheap, but the results are wonderful.
I started on my inventory for my upcoming christmas shows, I might even list down the road a few pieces in my Etsy store.
We are pretty lucky this summer with our weather here in Oregon, no extreme heat at all, just perfect. I love butterflies and we have several Swallowtails

flying around in our back garden, so the other day I took some pictures from one sitting on my Dusty Millers. Perfect!

I have been busy creating! Come and see!

I have been busy in these last weeks, I designed many years ago little sweaters for small children and babies. I called them "Sweater people". Each of the sweaters is hand knitted and each one has a little dollie attached. All the parts of the dolls were knitted and crochet and the hair was kind of rug hooked into the head. These are fun to make.
I also worked on a small bear, he is only 9 inches tall and is made from Alpaca mohair, this is so soft. The paw pads are made from 100% wool, he has small black shoe botton eyes. I did not use a sewing machine to make him, he was entirely done by hand. All what he needs is a bow.

How funny is that!

This is Zoe our neighbor cat, she jumped on the roof of my house the other day and thought it was funny looking into my window. Here she is meowing at me, wonder what she is saying? "please, help me down or let me in, but hurry!" Cats do the darnest thing. What a little stinker.
